James Dean

詹姆斯‧狄恩(James Dean)，垮世代青年叛逆形象的代表，曾被美國電影學會(AFI)評選為百年來最偉大的男演員第18名。他一生只主演過三部電影，「天倫夢覺」、「養子不教誰之過」、「巨人」，1955年時，因為一場車禍而意外喪生，享年24歲。雖然他的螢幕生涯不長，但他憂鬱、孤獨、放蕩不羈的浪子氣質，卻早已深深的烙印在所有觀眾的心底，並影響了接下來的好幾個世代，成為美國青年文化的一種象徵。

會提到這個，其實是因為老鷹合唱團曾寫過一首歌”James Dean“向他致敬，收錄在專輯On the Border(1974)中，其中的一句歌詞"too fast to live, too young to die"，也成為了他最佳的人生寫照。
