這首歌是50年代的一首情歌，很多人翻唱，Dylan在1992年錄製Good as I Been to You這張專輯的時候，將它改編成了吉他的獨奏版本，但後來並未採用，直到1994年被導演Oliver Stone收錄在Natural Born Killers (閃靈殺手)的電影原聲帶中，才得以重見天日！我個人很喜歡這歌詞的意境。

Tomorrow Is A Long Time 首次出現在Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Volume II(1971)這張專輯裡，是1963年在NY Town Hall 現場錄音的版本。而這首歌最早其實是Dylan在1962年為了M. Witmark & Sons 音樂出版商所錄製的Demo，最近才被收錄在The Bootleg Series Vol. 9: The Witmark Demos: 1962-1964(2010)這張官方的Bootleg裡面，而下面的這個版本是出自Darkness at the Break of Noon 這張Booteg，1978年Dylan在Santa Monica, California的Rundown Studios為了巡迴演出排練時所錄下的錄音版本...歌詞寫得真好...

這首歌是狄倫在製作《Oh Mercy 》的時期所錄製的，沒有收進該張專輯裡，而是直到1994年才釋出於《Greatest Hits Volume 3》這張精選輯中，附上的影片連結是1994年「MTV Unplugged」的演出片段！狄倫在的他的自傳“Chronicles, Volume One”中寫到(中文譯本177頁)，當他從收音機聽見籃球員 Pete Maravich打球猝死的消息時，他寫下了這首"Dignity"。

狄倫感嘆的說 “Some people seem to fade away but then when they are truly gone, it’s like they didn’t fade away at all.”
